Whatcha Reading

Whatcha Reading?

Right now I am reading two books I purchased from Vision Forum.  I am not an affiliate, but I love getting material from them, because they have good Christian views that my husband and I agree with.

The first book I am reading is : Verses of Virtue  The Poetry and Prose of Christian Womanhood
compiled and edited by Elizabeth Beall Phillips.  This is a small book, but I am only about half way through it.  When I read poetry I like taking my time to think a little more about what I am reading.

The second book I just received from Vision is : Christian Modesty and the Public Undressing of America
by Jeff Pollard.  This is a subject that I wrestle with and enjoy reading others view on how we have come to accept what we have.

So that is what is on my reading pile.....Whatcha reading???

"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
- Dr. Seuss, "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"

Reading has always been something my children and I enjoy. I enjoy the snuggle time on the couch with them, as well as all the places we go in a book. This past Friday September 2, 2011 Jackson got his library card. He was so proud to take out his own books on his own card. We have a great library here and really enjoy our weekly trips to the library for both movies and books.

GHEA Homeschool Conference

I just wanted to share some books that my husband and I picked up this weekend for ourselves:

We really as a family enjoyed listening to Voddie Baucham speaking. The funny thing is I had Joyfully at Home and Family Driven Faith on my list of books to pick up for me if I had any extra money. I had read the reviews of both, but it just never clicked that Voddie Baucham that we were going to see was the same as the author or that Jessica Baucham was his daughter. Yes I know I am thick headed :O) and a little slow but just imagine my surprise! He was great and I am so glad to have all 3 of these books and look forward to reading Joyfully at Home with my daughters!

Have a great day!
