Who is in the pool fence?

The weather has reached that cool point where the leaves are beginning to change and it's just too stinkin cold to get in the water.  However, this morning when I walked out on our back deck to enjoy the crisp cool weather, I noticed that a furry friend had decided to jump the fence and check out the pool for himself.  The deer out here on our land are not in any way scared of humans.  I am sure that will be their downfall, but I truly love watching them.  No need to worry this little fellow nibbled a few bushes and then jumped back over the fence to join his friends.

Time flies....

It seems unreal to me that 2020 has started and we are already in February.  Here at home so many things have changed in our lives since we began this blog.

In 2008 when I began this blog, Allison and Jackson were both being homeschooled.  Lindsey was in high school.  Life’s flow was so very different from now.

Welcome 2020 and Lindsey has graduated college and is now back in school perusing another degree, also working full time.   Allison has graduated high school and is now living away from home and working full time as an overnight baker. Jackson is still homeschooled we are in 7th /8th  grade with him, and in just a very few short years he will be onto to college.

My days of littles running around are far behind now we have adult and teenage lives swirling around.  I am so very proud of the people my children have become and are continuing to become.  Having very adult conversations with them and hearing their opinions on things happening in this world is fascinating to me.

I would like to say that I will pick back up on blogging.  Maybe I should say I hope to pick it back up, but only time will tell.  I do plan to upload some photos to my blog to keep in one place.

Have a Happy New Year friends and family!

Cleaning out my phone.

Jackson an his art mask.  He has recently decided that he likes buy these and paint them.
One day for dessert Lindsey made Dad a cookie cake.  It was her first attempt and it turned out great.

Dolly is being her queenie self.  She got a new bed this week and has been snuggled in with all this cold weather we have been having.

Backyard Friend

This morning we woke up and were having a quiet breakfast when we looked up and noticed a sweet deer right at the back of our fence.  We have a small section of our yard fenced for Dolly and this brave deer came right up to it.  She was a sight to see.

Socks have a certain way they fit.

Good evening!

It's a cool 40ish degree night here in northwest Georgia.  It has been drizzling all day and that cold has just got in my bones.

Now I have done all my favorite warm things....hot bath, sweat pants, red snuggie, and socks.  Sometimes we just need to warm ourselves and one of my favorite things is a good pair of snuggly socks.

Reading my blog post title you either agree with me or know someone who's child has fits if their socks aren't on correctly.  The struggle is real.  If my socks get turned just a bit the wrong way I have to stop and adjust.  Socks really only fit a certain way.

Feel me?
